A Seattle-based American e-commerce company founded by Jeff Bezos in July 1994. In 2021, Amazon is easing working conditions at its US warehouses after a damaging report on workplace accidents announced that workers would have more time to take breaks. The company employs one million people worldwide.

Apple was launched in 1976 in the United States by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne.
